Sustainability / Material system

Less material.Better decisions.

Sustainability in labels starts with material choice, construction, production efficiency and compatibility with the final packaging. We help customers evaluate these variables from the beginning of a project.

Start with the right material.

UltraPixel can evaluate label materials according to application, packaging substrate, visual requirements and end-of-life objectives.

Traceable choices.

Certified and responsibly sourced material options can be evaluated according to project requirements and supplier availability.

Any certification is stated per material, only when it is documented for that material.

03 / 07

Use what matters. Reduce what doesn't.

Layout optimisationLabels arranged to use the width of the material.
Appropriate material widthThe web is chosen for the job, not the other way round.
Digital production for suitable quantitiesPrinting what is needed, when the run suits it.
Less setup and obsolete stockFewer unnecessary set-ups and fewer labels printed in advance.
Optimised repeat jobsRecurring orders reviewed so that each reprint wastes less.

04 / 07

The label is part of the pack.

Material compatibility matters. A beautiful label should also be designed with the packaging system it becomes part of.

A sustainable choice does not depend on the label alone. Container, adhesive, facestock, decoration and recycling stream have to be considered together.

05 / 07

Add only what adds value.

SubstratePrintFinishing

We help customers judge when a finish adds value to the product and when it only adds complexity and material. Foil, lamination and premium finishing have their place; the point is to choose them on purpose.
